“My guest is the house that hosts me and I am the ghost that haunts it.”

This bi-coastal episode is a meditation on the meaning of home as a locational vibration, from the nomadic vantage point of a perpetual “stranger passing through town.”

The 1st half examines the subconscious sonic textures through which places speak to us. I recorded this segment while going through a deep emotional process, in Los Angeles, shortly after finishing my intense anti-leishmanial medicine cycle, and before leaving for New York.

After a sonic interlude the 2nd half takes place in the insomniac city, where I quantum leap from sublet to sublet, and these temporary home-bodies I borrow from strangers—spaces “literally haunted by the absence of their presence”—become Self Portraits As Other People.

In addition to my own compositions the episode features original musical contributions by Jeff Cravath and Brian Aspell.
